Problem:               Old stain surfaces on this deck and benches – All in need of refinishing

Scope of Work:   This Wooden Deck Restoration North Vancouver client wanted their wooden deck stripped to remove old stain coatings then refinished with new semi-transparent stain.

  1. applied a wood stripping agent to all wooden floor boards and bench seats using a brush.  Washed off using very low pressure washing spray
  2. more than one stripping application was needed in some areas with this deck
  3. Light sanded all wooden deck floor boards and perimeter benches
  4. applied two coats of Olympic semi-transparent stain in Natural Cedar tone
  5. placed furniture and planters back onto deck surface a few days after last stain coat applied

 

Timeline: We Completed this Wooden Deck Restoration North Vancouver project within two weeks – the changing weather conditions was a factor in performing some of the steps in the deck refinishing process
